“Climate change is the greatest threat of our lifetimes. The United States administration sees it as a grave threat to global peace, scientists fear its effects on global health and in 2008 it was estimated that climate change already killed 300,000 people yearly. That’s the bad news. The good news is scientists tell us we can still curb catastrophic climate change if we manage to significantly lower our carbon emissions. We have just witnessed a series of inspirational political changes in the Arab world, which would have seemed impossible a year ago. Human beings are capable of doing great things when they put their hearts and minds to it – especially the youth of today.”
